Welcome to the adventures of Oceans Dream.  It’s been quite literally
that - a dream - for many years.

Oceans Dream launch,
Cape Town - Dec ‘08

Oceans Dream is an Admiral 40 catamaran and was launched on 27 November 2008 in Cape Town.  Her crew, Adrian and Jackie, eventually set sail on 19 December 2008, some four months later than expected.  After a successful crossing of the South Atlantic from Cape Town via St Helena (see ‘The Gallery’ ) we arrived in Trinidad in January 2009. We’d realised even before arriving at St Helena that all was not well with Oceans Dream but did not expect to still be in Trinidad some nine months later.  Read more about the failures on Oceans Dream during the trans-Atlantic crossing in ‘The Blog’.

OUR ROUTE
We plan to complete a circumnavigation and the blue position markers below reflect our intended route.  It is now likely that we will skip the Leeward and Windward Islands in the Caribbean and head west at the end of the hurricane season to catch-up with the original plan.  The yacht symbol indicates the completed legs of the trip.   Clicking on  ‘The Blog’, will enable you to find out further information on each leg along with regular updates.  A fuller description of our experiences both at sea and at the ports of call can be found in ‘The Diary section as well as more photos in ‘The Gallery’ (which will take you to Google Picasa).
